LACK OF DECENCY

I live in a city that spends millions of euros on advertising campaign that it shows to all citiziens the pride of living in the city, and this is expresed as I live in Barcelona.

To tell the truth, this is a great advertising campaign for all people who live in BCN without any problem, but when you have to walk with crutches during a year for medical reasons, you realize that this city is little prepared.

If you have bad luck, as m, and you have to be operated on you foot several times, and actually you are a temporaly handicapped person, but any right is not valid for you, because there exists an important legal black hole in this scape, and I say this for:

Metro: Imosible to travel in public transport, in the best of times, if you have one of the stations nearby with lift, and your destination station belongs to the same line, because any transfer can be mortal stairs tramp, and I don't want to talk about incivility of the people that they let you have the reserved seats.

Bus: Among all public transport, the best, people are used to let you have the reserved seats for people witho limitations, the problem is that before you arrive to your seat, you should advise to the driver to wait until you arrive to the seat. This is not the first time that I have to grab a handrail until the next stop.

Car: Perhaps is the best transport to people like me, but the anti-car fight of this city council, doesn't permit you to move with it. I'm considered a normal person I can't access to handicapped persons parking so I have to park far from where I want to go and then to walk with my crutches, or to pay a bad park fine, well, I have the oportunity to pay 6€ for a green area too, While I'm in the doctor.

Entertaiment: Why I'm not going to say, that BCN, is a very accessible city. There are theatres where the stage and the seat in the stalls are after going up 30 steps while theatre's workers see you thinking, what a overbearing. How this girl can come here with crutches? Cinemas with the same situation, you must by your ticket for a fixed room or begin to jump, and finally, why don't speak about the BCN municial stadium? I'm talking about Montjuic stadium. It has a handicappe entrance, but in this area there aren't bathrooms for handicapped persons.... No comment.

At the end, I'm going to speak about people lack of decency. I went to a bar the other day, I have all right to do this, the bar wasn't full, but all the seats were full, well, not all them, almost all them. I went to a free one, so I aske to the man who was near it if it was free, and he answered me, no because the seat was occupied. Inmediately a young girl arrived and sat down in front of my crutches.

Later I went to the bar, where there was another free seat, I asked to the woman that was near it if it was free, and she answered me as the last man, the seat was ocuppied. I have to say that you can see my crutches easily but there are a lot of blind people.

At the end, I installed myself near the bar, first arrived the contract part of the first man, and to get a "pintxo" almost throw one of my crutches, I was an impassable handicap between food and her.

The worst arrive later, the womanof the second seat, when she tried to sit on, she hadn't enough space, so she began to push me to she got to put her back on her valued seat..... no comments again.

So definetely, lack of decency of the honorable BCN city council and lack of decency of the people that live in his city.
